5th Annual Animal & Me Event: Happening 2023!

The 2023 Animal & Me event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12th at the Livestock Arena located on the Williams County Fairgrounds beginning at 6:30pm. This heart-warming event provides an opportunity for individuals with special needs to experience what it's like to exhibit an animal at the fair. Participants work with Jr. Fair Exhibitors (4-H/FFA members) and their animals to participate in a special livestock show. This allows participants to demonstrate what they have learned about showing an animal.

We accept Mentor Applications from Jr. Fair Livestock Exhibitors (both FFA & 4-H). The types of animals that participate in this program are outlined in the application along with pertinent dates for Mentors to be available.

Mentors will need to attend a meeting prior to the practice date to learn more about the participant that they will be working with. There will then be a practice at the fairgrounds where the mentors will need to bring their animal and teach participant how the animal is safely shown and cared for, date to be announced later. Thank you for your interest in this worthwhile program!
