Perennial School

The 23rd Annual Central Ohio Perennial School is just around the corner!

Join Ohio State University Extension and plant friends for this annual event on March 2, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center in Springfield, OH.  Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

This year’s exciting line-up of speakers includes the well-known author and speaker Tracy Disabato-Aust speaking on The New Well-Designed Mixed Garden: Building Borders with Trees, Shrubs, Perennials, Annuals and Bulbs and The Art of Pruning Perennials Revisited.  Tracy will be selling and signing her books as well.  Next, from PBS television we have Jeff Hughes and Madeline de Vries Hooper sharing how to Get Garden Fit!  Learn how simple stretching and other exercises can prepare you for the gardening season.  Finally, Ohio State University Extension Associate Professor, Pam Bennett will talk about incorporating native plants in your landscape to help the pollinator’s plight (It Doesn’t Have To Be All Or Nothing!) and will walk you through the process of diagnosing your plant problem in What’s Wrong With My Perennials?

The cost for the day is $70.00 and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and handouts.
