2025 Garden Roundtables

The 2025 Garden Roundtables are standalone topics on exploring gardening topics professionals present. The sessions begin with a 30-minute presentation, then participants network and discuss the topic. MGV continuing education hours are available, and there are a total of 5 spring sessions.

  • January 27 - Garden Planning
    • Beth Scheckelhoff, an ANR Educator in Putnam County, will present on garden planning. Her presentation will provide an overview of the steps involved in creating a successful garden.
  • February 11 - Invasive Insects
    • Amy Stone, ANR Educator in Lucas County, will discuss invasive insects and their impacts on the environment.
  • March 17 - Herbs
    • Come and learn from Rylee Kay Puthoff, ANR Educator in Shelby County, has she discusses herbs and their place within gardening.
  • April 29 - Native Plants
    • A 30-minute presentation on native plants and the benefits of using plants indigenous to an ecosystem.
  • May 19 - Plant Genetics
    • William Holdsworth, Plant Geneticist at Rupp Seeds Inc., will present on the fundamental concepts of the impacts of genes on plant growth and development. Come and explore plant genetics in the final session for the 2025 season.
